* Tabloids: Tabloid issue trim size: 10-7/8" x 14-1/2". Tabloid spread trim size: 21-3/4" x 14-1/2". There is no additional charge for bleed on tabloid advertisments; for tabloid bleed specifications, see instructions for all bleed ads immediately below.
** Bleeds: On bleed ads, keep live matter 3/8" within trim edges. Allow at least 1/4" of background area beyond ad size (on all sides) for trimming. Special Positions

A fixed rate and special terms apply to the Page 5 position; call to inquire or e-mail Laurie Freddino. Other specific page requests are charged at a 10% premium on space and color.
 
 

Rate Policy, Commission & Terms

Contract advertisers are rate-protected for the calendar year. Unfulfilled contracts are short-rated to best earned frequency rate. Fifteen percent commission allowed when a complete, error-free digital file. Written orders requested. The reservations deadline is also the last day on which advertising cancellations can be accepted. Terms: net 30 days.

Alterations to advertising materials are charged at 20% above publisher’s cost. There is a $150 per image charge for the use of 4/color with editorial submissions.

Advertisers are responsible for payment in the event of non-payment by their agencies. Advertising materials are stored for one year only and then destroyed.

Publisher reserves the right to reject advertising materials and assumes no liability for accurate reproduction of ads received past our materials due date or without an accurate color proof.

 
 

Issuance and Closing Dates

LMT is published 10 times per year and mailed approximately the 10th of each month except for June/July and November/December issues, which mail the third week of the first month. BRCs, Inserts and Outserts

Business Reply Cards are available only in conjunction with standard or tabloid page advertisements. Costs: bound-in card, $1000 net for advertiser-supplied 4" x 5-7/8" card (vertical or horizontal) with blank lip a minimum of 3-1/2" long. Add $500 net for printing on lip. For tipped-in card, $1500 net for single card, 4" x 5-7/8", with 1/2" perforated lip. Call for quote on alternative card sizes.

Inserts are supplied by the advertiser. One-sided insert, same as equivalent size 10-time B/W space rate (minimum size: 1/2 page). Additional sides: plus 25% per side. Surcharge for paper stock over 80 lbs. Regional inserts available; 5000 minimum. Inserts must be pre-trimmed: top, bottom and side. Always check issue availability and get a written quote in advance.

Outserts supplied by the advertiser are polybagged with an issue. Outserts cannot have a postal indicia and their overall size must not exceed the size of LMT. Outsert postage costs must be prepaid to LMTs printer.

No agency commission on BRCs, inserts or outserts.
