New technologies and innovative business opportunities drew a record-setting crowd of 3,204 buyers to the 24th annual LMT LAB DAY in Chicago.

Despite a steady drumbeat of economic worries in the general press, the dental laboratory community resoundingly expressed its confidence about the future. Exhibitors reported strong sales, even on big ticket items. And buyers shared their enthusiasm for a broad array of the new products they got to “test drive” at the show.

Greeted by more than 200 exhibitors, LAB DAY buyers came from across the U.S. and—thanks to the strong Euro and other currencies—from 15 European countries as well as 24 other countries. Exhibitors commented on the great traffic and motivated buyers, who had automated technologies and business growth on their minds. “I'm actually surprised by the number of people expanding their laboratories. The growth in our industry is great!” said Tim McMullen, president of Cosney Corp. in Long Lake, Minnesota.
